i everyone. I know what you are thinking. I know I’ve been a bit MIA lately but I decided to take an extended break offline to spend a little more quality time with my family and friends, just enough time to relax and to come back with more energy than ever! This year is going to be a good one! I want to make this year the best year yet, in both my personal life and in my blogging life. And to do so, I felt I just needed a little extra time to get myself into the right frame of mind to let it be a year of new beginnings, exciting new adventures, personal development, growth, learning, connecting with bloggers that I admire myself, making new friends, but most importantly, nurturing my family bond.

But now that we are full swing back into the blogging action, I thought I’d start off with some new and exciting beauty products that have launched this month and they are the hottest new products that everyone’s talking about!! Literally, there are thousands of new products being released every month, but the beauty products that I’ve included here are the really awesome ones that I think you must try as they are worth every penny!

Take a look-see and let me know what you think. Some (if not all) are currently sitting in my ‘wish lists’ and I will purchasing some soon with gift cards that I received over Christmas – what a great way to spend some gift cards hey? I thought, why not treat myself to some really cool new beauty products that have just been released and everyone is talking about!

New Beauty Products Launched This Month That You Must Have!

#1 Coconut Water Cream

I’m not sure if you can read the label, but this is actually Coconut Water Cream.. Wattt?!? Yes, confusing right? Sounds like something to eat, but it ain’t. It’s a beautifully light and fluffy cream for your skin to eat. What I love about this cream is that it can be applied either before your makeup or after! It’s a cream that absorbs super fast which I need because waiting for my moisturizer to sink into my skin before applying my foundation can sometimes drive me up the wall when I only have like 5 minutes to get ready! Although, I do love my current skincare products (which you can read here), I am always looking for something better, and this seems like a great one to try right now. This technically should be included in my beauty/skincare product list that will be coming up in the next few weeks, but I honestly can’t wait to get my hands on this one and plus, it forms part of my makeup routine anyway… It’s ranked one of the hottest beauty products for 2018 as I tested it the other day and feel in love at first feel.

#2 Mix In Facial Oil

I’ve never before tried a facial oil. I have no idea how long they have been around, but it’s the first time I’ve ever come across one and I can’t wait to try it. I did see a blogger review one on a youtube video I watched on the weekend when she was doing her everyday makeup look and she added a facial oil to her foundation. This is a new beauty product that I really look forward to adding to my makeup routine as they are said to condition your skin, moisturize and nourish it without leaving it oily. I’ve heard a lot of good things about adding a skin softening oil to your foundation and I can’t wait to try this one out. What I love about this one in particular is that it has no parabans, is cruelty free and contains some of my favorite ingredients, including macadamia, pomegranate, sunflower and olive seeds oils. I tend to lean more towards facial oils and body oils (check out the latest body oil everyone is buying here!) during the winter months, because I feel they are more luxurious on the skin and it’s generally what I have been opting for the last year or so.

#3 Liquid Eyeshadow

If you have been following me here at LaBeaute for while you would probably know that I love eye shadow palettes (read my blog post of the nude eyeshadow palettes you have to try!). But to be completely honest, when it comes to eyeshadows, I’m a powder girl. One thing that I haven’t tried when it comes to eye-shadows are liquid eye-shadows. This is a new liquid eye-shadow, the newest liquid eye-shadow makeup product launched this month! I’m loving the shimmer and glow look as opposed to the glitter eye-shadow. What I love about this product is that it’s a limited edition, which if you have read my recent blog post here, you’ll know the reason why I buy limited edition makeup and beauty products as soon as I see them. What I also love about this new liquid eyeshadow is that it has No Parabens, No Sulfates and No Phthalates. If you have tried it before, please leave comment below as I’d love to hear your thoughts on it or any tips you have for applying it!

#4 Makeup Setting Spray

Using a makeup setting spray is something that I typically haven’t used for a few years now. Some of my friends think that it’s unusual, while others think it’s perfectly normal. To me, I do what I feel is best for me how I feel. Lately, I’ve been finding that I’ve been spending more hours away from home and I find myself wanting to touch up my makeup as the day/night goes on. I was thinking the other day as I was doing my grocery shopping (weird timing, I know!) but I was thinking of starting to use a makeup setting spray again. This one that I have my eyes on is this newest makeup setting spray which has the extra benefit of protecting your face against pollution and environmental factors. I think this is a great option for people living in the city or if you just want your makeup to last more than 16 hours!

#5 Tarte Contour Palette

Did you know that it’s not just food or supplements that contain vitamins, but also makeup? This one in-particular, contains vitamin E! Read on for other interesting facts about why I love this new makeup arrival. If my husband counted how many contour palettes I have, he would probably ban me from ever buying one again (thank goodness he doesn’t go near my makeup). But I think he knows based on ‘Sephora’ or ‘Ulta’ coming up on our credit card. Despite that, men just don’t understand a woman’s need when it comes to makeup and having a variety for different occasions is essential.

Plus, did you know that beauty and makeup products have an expiry date? And did you know that you could also potentially make your products expire earlier? Make sure you aren’t aging your make-up earlier than the expiry date by reading my blog post here! So because we can’t keep our products for like, forever, that’s always a good excuse to be buying new beauty products (that’s a great excuse, isn’t it?!) Apart from that, just like everything else in life, things get better with time. And this little newbie bronzer and contour palette from Tarte is calling my name! I need to have this in my bronzer and contour collection. I don’t have a Tarte contour palette as yet so this might just be my new favorite. What I’m loving about this newest contour palette is that it has shades that will suit pretty much all of us and our range of complexions. The shades selected have been thoroughly researched and designed to last through all seasons also. What I also love is that they are derived from finely-milled Amazonian clay and mineral pigments. It’s a must buy!

#6 Tom Ford Private Shadow

Source

Ok, I’ll have to admit, I’m loving this one, mainly because of the packaging, but hey, who doesn’t love Tom Ford’s packaging anyway?! Anyone? I can’t say one bad thing about it. The combination of black (or white), sleek with gold edges, just satisfies my eyes and hands.. Plus, it’s another limited edition item, so you know me, I’m all in.. And what about the name – Private Shadow. Doesn’t it just sound so divine? Wow, I think I’d be perfect to work for Tom Ford LOL. But honestly, I don’t have a lot of Tom Ford makeup products but a few of my close friends do and they rave about them (however, there was one that was an absolute disgrace. I’ll share that one with you soon!). Generally, it’s one brand I am looking to buy and experiment more with (so stay tuned for that!)

♥ Updated: I have now purchased this product, you can read what I think about it here). Ok, packaging aside, product wise – it’s just amazing! I’m not a hoarder of individual eye-shadows (as you read above, I’m a ‘palette girl’), but I’ve learnt the hard way, in that, palettes aren’t always as practical as it seems. For one, you can’t travel easily with them, and two, they aren’t the nicest thing to be popping in your handbag or overnight bag. I’d rather save them for my home. Every other occasion, I think this beautiful smooth and silky eye-shadow is just the right one. What shade do you think I’m opting for? The Naked City one of course! Isn’t it just divine?

#7 Nars New 16-Hour Foundation

For those of you out there looking for the hottest new foundation to try, maybe you should give this new Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation a go. The name says it all. For me personally, I’m sticking to the only foundations I use, which I’ve blogged about on labeaute already, but just because I stick to one brand of foundation for now, doesn’t mean you need to. Most of my friends and bloggers I know, alternate foundations and yes, it’s something I am thinking of doing instead of being a boring one-type girl. And Nars is definitely on my list of foundations to try. What I like about this new foundation is that it’s been developed to suit all skin types – yes all – so I mean, if you have sensitive, normal, dry, combination or oil skin – it will suit the skin type it’s applied to. It’s got ravving reviews online and being that it’s Nars’s first foundation that is said to last a whole 16 hours, it’s also lightweight (which is important to me), breathable (which is also super important to me), is fade resistant (I guess no need to use the setting spray like I mentioned above) and comes in a whooping 33 different skin matching shades! The fact that it’s fragrance free, oil free, non-drying, has absolutely No Parabens and is dermatological tested, is a friggin amazing! So if you are low on your current bottle of foundation, maybe give this one a try and let me know below what you think! I’d love to hear if anyone is currently using it or are thinking of buying it.  It will definitely be a foundation I will using the upcoming months.

#8 Anti-Aging Primer

Last on my list (for now) is a product that I’ve been pondering for a while now…I’m heading into my early thirties and along with age, comes the concern of looking after yourself or appearing to look younger as the years go on. What’s better is to avail myself to products that have the delusion of looking less fatigued or sleep deprived or just not as utterly drained as I would usually appear. Or if you aren’t my age, just the fact that you want to make yourself look more younger and youthful, than this product might interest you aswell. What I like about this new under eye primer in particular is the fact that it’s a 2-in-1 product. It’s a primer, which is perfect prior to applying concealer under my eyes and it also acts as an anti-aging and anti-fatigue eye balm. I currently don’t use any anti-aging products but I have been thinking about purchasing a few but the main reason I have been hesitant to do so is because one of my biggest annoyances is that I hate applying product after product of skincare then makeup. I hate my skin feeling heavy with products. Hence, why I have opted not to apply too much skincare prior to my makeup. It’s also another reason why I don’t blog about it too much on LaBeaute either. This under-eye primer seems like a great buy for the fact that it’s great as a primer and as an anti-aging eye cream.

That’s all for today ladies, but stay tuned as I am back fully into blogging so if you have any questions, leave a comment below. Tell me what’s new that you have found, do you like it? If so, I’d love to hear from you! I’m feeling that this year is going to be a good one 🙂 Soon, I’ll be doing another post on the newest fashion trending so far this year, including a few that I’ve got inspiration from other style bloggers aswell.

Take care lovelies!

xx

I’ve heard about mixing the oil with foundation, but I don’t really know too much about it, would you be able to maybe do a blog post on it, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks 🙂
